Hi Everybody! I'm new to the group and looking forward to your suggestions. I have a DP Titan and recently purchased several flat disks to attach to the right end. I'm having difficulty getting the side geyser to spray adequately onto the disks. Even after talking with the DP tech and bending the copper tube section to try to spray upwards, I can't get the spray to reach high enough onto the disk. Have any of you had the same difficulty? Did any of you resort to improvising a different geyser?

Hi patmc Welcome to the forum. There are several people here using DP cab machines. I’m sure someone will weigh in soon. did you just get your Titan?

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
Use a spray bottle. Most likely you're using them for polish, correct? You don't need a lot of water for polishing. Just give it a squirt when it gets too dry.

I don't know about the Titan, but with my Genie I slide the tray all the way right and hold the geysers under the wheel. I also spray it.

The side geyser is on tubing angled upward at somewhere around a 30-40 degree angle.
We have one of those geysers, but the only time I tested it I also thought it was pretty weak. A polishing head would only need a minimal amount of water, but I'm not sure the one we have would reach even the bottom of the polishing head.
Maybe it would work if hooked up to an aquarium pump that moved more air than the titan pump does.

Starguy--I got it a year ago mainly to make cabs out of Petoskey stones. Absolutely LOVE it!
The disks are several different grits similar to each of the wheels (not polishing disk) and enable me to finish off the cab bottoms easier. Pretty much like a flat lap. Therefore, I need just as much water spray as on the wheels. I can't move the tray to the right further because of the hood being attached to the trays--there's not much space surrounding the wheels to move it.
Hummingbirdstones2--I wondered about an aquarium pump, too. Seems like DP would be getting a lot of complaints about it and would offer a better alternative for the grit disks.

Welcome from Washington.
Have you ever tried holding your cab bottoms against your higher-grit wheels to finish them? A few rotations to different orientations and you're on to the next higher grit. It doesn't take much time to do, assuming that they have reasonably smooth backs to begin with.

This is what I use for extra water on several tools. You can buy it or make one and just add a small pump and a bucket of water. For some tools you need to add a drain or a larger pan to hold the water This one is from HiTech Diamond.

There ya' go!
We got those systems from Hi-Tech for our flat laps and like them a lot. As rewdownunder said, you could make your own setup easy enough.

Just saw that Hi-Tech Diamond is having a 25% off Black Friday sale. Great time to get one if you do not want to make it yourself. ( I hope this is OK to post, I have no interest in the Company)

Great idea to get that pump from Hi-Tech! Thanks for the suggestion! I'd almost forgotten about Hi-Tech's sale.
