I finally finished a batch on my 15 inch raytech vibrating flat lap. I put thunder eggs and green granite on and this is what they finished like! flic.kr/p/2mMcDHzflic.kr/p/2mM44c8Sorry for the bad pictures. It's hard to capture the shine in pictures.

Looking good Perk, those dark blue centers look rich with color I came across this the other day and wanted to share this with you before I forgot about it

Thanks! They are pretty rich in color. Thanks for sharing. I'll check it out on a computer because my phone doesn't work for YouTube 🙄. Lol! Love the video! Thanks for sharing.

ETA - Son Of Beach - Great Video! Thanks 🙂! T-egg day it is. I finally cabbed again today after a little break. My flat lap (which I love and hate) took up my cabbing area so I couldn't use it for a couple days. Tomorrow I'm hoping to do some more cabbing. I'm starting to get a better set up so things are getting shinier and better made.

I'm hoping to get those cabs done tonight...thankfully the only thing I have to move out of my way is my lazy dog! LOL Tomorrow you should definitely take the day for yourself and cab to your hearts content!

Mine sounded like a lawn mower going over rocks and I'm pretty sure the grit got more eon the floor and me than on the rocks. Can I have that last part in writing on paper? 😃 I think I'll do just that.

LOL I have faith you'll find the right tweaks to get thing running like it should!

I will probably start working on it again next spring. Maybe I'll just run the thing outside in the lawn so I can't cause to much damage. The cleanup effort today was crazy.

I look forward to seeing pictures of your finished cabs jasoninsd . Do you polish the backs of them? I was too busy being a smart-alec earlier and missed this question. LOL I run the backs of the cabs on my 220 soft disk once I get them off dop - mostly to make sure all the superglue gets off the back of the cabs. I get that some people like the backs polished, but for me, I like the fact that someone can see what the rock looked like in its "natural" state (the back) versus the polished front side of the cab. Sometimes it's definitely a huge difference. It only took once to learn not to try and put the cab onto the disk when it was already running! The cab went flying! LOL

LOL Welcome to the club on that front! 🤣 I was curious because I polished the back on two cabs today and liked the results. When I took the club class, we only went to 220. It makes sense to leave that back "natural" though.
