Thanks. It's actually the entire rock. I just polished one side. It's about a four pounder! So a large cab, then...  It is domed on top but the girdle needs a tune up 😂 |

Here is part of the prize bounty for the Purr-fect cabochon. These are large slabs. We've got the new Purple Cow jasper, Laguna Lace agate with parallax banding, Cactus Lace agate, three flavors of Amy Sage agate, and Madagascar river agate with nice banding, some dendrites, and a sagenite explosion at one end. I will add some cat materials when I find them. They are probably hiding in a paper grocery bag, waiting to jump out and attack my feet when I walk by. In addition, I will include one or more of the tumbled rocks that Javier is paw polishing in my profile picture. Finally, if you make a cab that looks like your cat, and your cab wins, I will double the prize bounty.  |

I've been waiting to hear about this contest for awhile. holajonathan told me a little teaser awhile back, but he wouldn't let the CAT out of the bag with regards to the specifics! This is a CATegory so many people can be a part of this month! NDK - Nate, barring any CATastrophe with falling cabs, you should do well this month! MsAli - Ali KAT, I just wanted to tag you because of your screen name! Tommy - You too should have no problem finding an entry this month due to your vast CATalog of slabs - unless you sold them all by now! knave - Evan, if you don't have too many CATwalks to go across at work this month, you might have time to get one done for this month! Jonathan those slabs are F'n sweet. If you like the slabs, get that cat rock back from your mom, make a massive cat cab, and if you win, you will have enough material to make her a bunch of cabs to replace the cat rock.  And even if you don't win, you can make her a massive cat cab necklace. I hope she has a strong neck. |

I've been saving a cool big slab of leopardskin ... maybe it's time has come? I'll have to go through my cabinet but I can't think of any other cat related material I might have...  |
