I get my SC and AO from The Rock Shed.I haven’t been burnishing anything lately.

I use 14k rockshed ao too. My recipe usually includes coarse (lots of mixed grades. Probably 50-90.) 120/220 500 ao and in this case tripoli, then the 14k. I have no idea what the rocks they are sending me will look like. I ran out of ivory soap and probably won't buy more so done burnishing here too lol. Oh yeah, and do use use a vibratory tumbler?

I use mine with 220 through polish because it came with 2 bowls. I think for the contest I'll use rotary for everything before ao though. This is gonna be an interesting contest. Especially considering I have no idea what the material will be!

If I run into a hopper for my mini sonic I will probably purchase it to add to my arsenal lol.

That thing is awesome. My arsenal is getting too big. Next on my list is a trim saw. Not sure that's gonna happen though... Lol

My wife has received her rocks. As speculated in the forum, they look like dark (off black) Jasper. About 2/3rds of the rocks look like great tumbling prospects. Just enough good rocks to fill her tumbler. This is her first time rock tumbling, so she is very excited. She's using a National Graphic tumbler nicknamed Speedy. The rocks are rolling. Our first post, so we don't know how to post pictures.

Our first post, so we don't know how to post pictures. Here's a link to the Cloudinary Tutorial. A lot of us use this to upload photos to the forum. It takes a little bit to set it up, but if you follow the instructions exactly then all you need to do is click the Cloudinary Upload button on the top right of your screen, navigate to your photos and upload them.
You can also use other photo hosting sites like Flickr to upload your photos if you like.

We went to Gem World and Tyson Wells tent market looking at rocks. Hiking in the desert my wife picked up a couple gallons of Quartz she wants to tumble. Hard to say no... Have fun in Quartszite.
