I was gifted this as an early Christmas gift flic.kr/p/2mRQwEX I apologize for the link form. I'm not able to use a computer right now. This is a handmade display case with specimens collected in the late 50's to early 60's by my great-great grandparents. I posted this a while back about them: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/96503/awesome-rock-fireplace Thanks for looking! Also, if you have any corrections on the identifications feel free!

OMG! That is so cool to have something from your G Grandparents. So, I guess rockin' runs in the family.

Best part is the passing of the torch so to speak. If they are self collected then you can let your imagination run wild about what they did to collect them.

If I'm properly informed, they are all self-collected. I can't even imagine all of the places they traveled. I want to travel to places like that once I retire. That probably is the best part. You are right.

Great present this year Perk! The one that's labeled "Agate" looks like Silver Lace Onyx to me... There's a group right below the turquoise...the pinkish one on the top of that group really looks like a Bubble Gum Agate...

That's kinda what I'm thinking too. The agate labeled one does look like lace onyx but I'm pretty dang sure it is an agate. The corner ones are extra minis.

The materials could have been collected even in the 40's, I'm not sure.
