I didn't even realize there was a forum for new members posts. I have already been fairly active in the rockhounding forum and introduced myself there, but haven't quite said Hi to everyone else. Sooooo Hello my name is Zachary and I'm fairly new to the rest of the hobby, but I've been rockhounding for almost two years now! I've recently gotten very into wire wrapping and have already had a few commisions and a small booth at a local gem and mineral show! I'm proud of being able to say I tumble and find a majority of the rocks myself and I have fallen in love with not only the hobby but the community that surrounds it. I can't wait to share with you all my future works and progress on my gem journey

Greetings and Welcome from Scotland! Hello. Gosh your country and people are beautiful, but your beer is even better! I fell in love with Scotland, especially the Orkneys, when I visited about 20 years ago. My daughter will serve an internship, probably in Glasgow, this summer, and I'm likely to go visit her. I'm a rotary rock tumbler and enjoy visiting streams and locations when I travel to collect rocks to tumble. Jaspers, agates, and all other forms of pretty and sufficiently hard rocks are what I collect for tumbling. Do you think any of the locations and streams around Glasgow might have any? And in case you are wondering, yes, I've had my baptism encounter with your infamous midges! The local hunters that found me camping beside a stream between Glasgow and Oban could hardly believe I was surviving them.
