What was your ratio on the Iron Out to water? I used whatever the bottle said for exterior surfaces. I think it was 1 cup per gallon. Most of them soaked for about 48 hours, but a few stubborn ones (mostly not pictures) needed about double that time. As a completely unscientific way of telling if there was still enough Iron Out in the water, I smelled it and while I could still smell the fumes, it was way weaker than when I started. So I added another 1/4 cup to the tub after the initial 48 hours.

I looked on my bottle, and I only saw ratios listed for toilet bowls...or at least that's all I remember seeing. LOL Your "unscientific" approach is the same method I'd use! LOL
