The more I look through the bins of rocks my friend gave me, the more cool things I find. What are the chances this could be Chromium Petrified Wood from near Winslow, AZ? It was in the bag, in a bin, marked pet wood. Everything else in the bin appears to be pet wood. My friend remembers a family trip out West in the 1970’s. They spent a lot of time collecting rocks. At the time, she thought it was cool that they got to go to Winslow due to the Eagles song, Take it Easy, being popular at the time. I forgot the size reference, but this is 3 ¾” long. First photo is not true to color, but the rest are. Thank you

Don't see why not. Rainbow pet wood has green. When I cleaned out and recharged my barrels today, I found a chunk of pet wood from Wyoming/Montana that had green in it.

The color looks more like epidote than the chrome green wood I have seen.

I think rmf is right that just does not look like Chromium Petrified Wood which really does look like wood. Give Chromium Petrified Wood a google and you will see what I mean.

The green pet wood from Winslow area looks more like pet wood, it has a wood grain to it. That chunk does not, despite what the label said.
There's a 22 gram piece on eBay right now, BIN price about $50, plus shipping.
