Thanks for slipping me in! Not sure if you know the rules or not, but you'll need to contribute some cabs. Keep in mind that if you haven't done enough, yet, you can send in some purchased or otherwise gotten cabs.

Tommy's wrap is (almost) done--all that's left is the tweaking, the tumbling and liver of sulphur. Be on the lookout after Tuesday, Tommy, I'll send you the tracking number Tuesday night.

Keep in mind that if you haven't done enough, yet, you can send in some purchased or otherwise gotten cabs. That shouldn't be a problem. I did read over the rules and have a pretty good, general idea of how it works. I worked on finishing up a bunch of cabs I had started this last weekend. Some had scratches or flaws. Some just needed the backs done. Anyway, I have 64 of them waiting to go!

Thank you susand24224 for the gorgeous wrapping on the beautiful Teepee Canyon agate! I love how you used the wire on the face to accent the shape of the agate lines. Well, I guess the clock is officially ticking for me now haha No pressure though.

susand24224 Great job designing with the stone! I like the weave section, too. Did you hammer the line on the front? Very cool!

susand24224, I love the braided (?) bail, very nice look and the wire matching the stone on the front, I have to agree is great. Patty

Thank you, Tommy, Tela and Patty (I've not yet mastered multiple quotes).
Tela and Patty, the front wire is 20 gauge hammered; I had planned to do 16 gauge but in my pre-noon stupor I wrapped the bail without thinking about redoing the front wire. The bail is just the remaining wires from the wrap being wrapped around the left-over hammered wire left to right. I had planned to do the entire bail this way with the bend, but (1) as usual, I didn't have enough wire and (2) the wires were *really* stiff and likely wouldn't have done real well with that kind of curve. (Reminds self to next time remove and anneal wire before it is almost impossible to get the stone out.)

Beautiful job on all the wraps and cabs so far. I have been remiss on posting to this thread but I have been reading it. Looking forward to my turn at the box.

Beautiful, susand24224! Very unique and that flat hammered wire on the front was genius.

That wire hardens up pretty quick.

susand24224 - Fantastic wrap on that Teepee Canyon!! I knew that cab had a lot of negative space on the left side there...and how you used the wire going across the face was genius! Way to go...great job!!

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and compliments! It is always a bit scary to try something new (at least for me), especially after the previous "something new" didn't work. I was lucky on this one!

Tommy Have you taken pictures of the cabs, yet. Plus the ones you use to replace the ones you keep.

Excuses, excuses.... LOL!!! To be perfectly honest, I didn't know a picture of the cabs was requested. I have a very short attention span when reading and I never made it down to the "recap" section where you mentioned it

I know the clock is ticking down on my two weeks and the good news is I've finished the wrap. I'm in the middle of a brutal run of work days until at least Monday if they don't pile on, but Tuesday for sure I am off. I'm also not really happy with how I did on it as it's been a couple of years since my last one of these and I was rustier than I thought I was. Unfortunately for the next person in the list I only had enough wire for one attempt Anyway, by Tuesday 6/20 I will have sucked it up and send it out.
