As some may know, I recently purchased and helped to disassemble a monstrocity home made 36" saw, and carted the pieces home. I am not rebuilding as it was configured, and have no need for a saw that big. Motors, pump, and overhead crane it came with, along with a big load of steel that can be repurposed, were my primary motivation to buy it. It looks like the person who was considering buying the blades has to back out right now, so they are for sale.
1) BD303 blade that sells new for over $1800.00 and looks to be at 80-90% and laser flat using a straight edge.
2) HP Greenline (Chinese) blade, reportedly removed and replaced due to "bad cuts". It has roughly 0.050 dish showing, wouldn't be surprised if he got it like that. As such it would likely be fine to cut large rough down to fit into smaller saws, but not for specimens you intend to polish. It is not even broke in for obvious reasons, and currently sell new for $500.00
I really don't want to ship these, but I am building a crate for safe storage today, so I am willing to drop them anywhere in the Phoenix area that a buyer arranges. I will also take them to Oregon in June if I still have them, when we do shows up there.
Not listing a price today. I'm going to use the arbor frame, along with my dial gauge, to check the exact runout and flatness to supply to potential buyers. I really don't have to make a lot off this, the rest of the haul was enough to cover what I paid and a couple trips to haul it.
If you have a 36" saw or are thinking of building one, shoot me an offer by PM for one or both or watch this for updates.
In a couple weeks I will post to Facebook Marketplace and other forums, but right now it is RTH only.
Pics by email or text are available, but KN and HP sites will also show what they look like. I have a scale that can weigh them too.
