Cut this "white-skin" Brazilian a couple months ago, finally go it polished. I wish this one was larger say 5 or 6 inches, here again I did not choose to slab it as I did not want to lose the nice color; IMG_4095 by Findrocks, on Flickr I did notice in the one on the right I somehow missed removing all the saw marks, dang it!!

(And, FWIW, I didn't really notice the saw marks until you mentioned them. )
Since I'm new to the whole lapidary arts, I don't understand why you wouldn't "slab it"...?

Beautiful Henry! I think even "I" would have a hard time slabbing and cabbing that one...and I'm prone to chop up most things! LOL

That is very nice! Where did you get the stone? Jim From about 4 sources, it's all old stock as best I can tell. About 200 pounds free when I bought my 24in HP Saw, seller was moving and he threw them in with the deal. Another 400 to 500 lbs from a East Texas gentleman. Another 200-300 pounds from the estate in Central Texas. Probably 200 pounds from the Rusk Texas rock sale, now gone. Half of the ones bought from Rusk were already cut!, a very nice bonus. I have already cut and polished halves or slabbed probably 200+ pounds. The polished halves have been good sellers the last two Shows.

Beautiful Henry, and aptly named, especially the one on the left, seeing the bright "flame".
