I just opened a batch of rocks that I had started six days ago in my Model B Thumler. It was filled 2/3 full with rocks and ceramic media. I added just enough water to cover the tops of the stones, then added grit 20 tbsp of #80). When I opened to inspect, I was surprised to see that the "water" level had risen to the very top of the barrel... Did I do something wrong? How did it expand to that level when it was only 2/3 full when the tumble was started? Thanks in advance for helping...

Was it foamy slurry? I’ve never have that much of a volume increase in my model B. The only thing I can think of is the air mixed with the slurry for some reason to increase the volume. Just guessing, I’m a newbie at this rock tumbling stuff.
