The more they over-think the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the toilet.

Okay, so as some know, I lucked into a deal for a brand-new, but open-box dual-barrel tumbler from Harbor Freight. I am about to embark on the third round of batches with it.
The first went well, although it appears that some of the rubber from the two barrels has worn off on the rollers. It's now into the second batch and there seems to be more accumulating. I'm not sure just how big of a deal this is, but it does concern me. I did clean the barrels inside and out using a fingernail brush and some dish soap before starting and in between tumble runs. I'm wondering if anyone who has the Harbor Freight tumblers (maybe nursetumbler ?) has encountered this? Also, is it something to worry about and if so, how do I go about removing the residue without damaging the rollers?

Hi LazerFlashI see it happening from the black stay pieces grinding off and mixing with the 3-1 oil. I have used baby wipes to get it off. The only problem I see with it is it is somewhat sticky and walks the barrels. If you clean it off between tumbles its better because it doesn't get like bubblegum on the bottom of your shoe. I hope this helps. If you cant get it off with simple baby wipes try a bit of dawn to break down the oil first then wipe it clean with baby wipe or wet paper towels. Kelly

I ran a couple of HF tumblers back in the beginning. I never really worried about the residue. You can scrape it off but I found it just came back. If it really bugs you try a little isopropyl.
