Interesting report. I was aware of how dangerous box jellyfish were and how fast they can kill a person, but never heard of the irukandji jellyfish, which is significantly more toxic.
Watching the report I was thinking they may want to experiment with enzyme therapy. Venoms are proteins and can be digested. Otherwise, maybe focus on hyaluronidase inhibitors to block the venom spread, which will at least minimize the pain sine it is not controlled by morphine.

Had friend stung by a box jelly or sea wasp About did her in. Respiratory distress.

Good luck trying to discover the silver lining Yes, a person can die within 15 seconds of a box jellyfish sting if enough of the body is contacted. And if you don't die, you wish you had as the stings are supposed to feel like being branded and leave some serious marks.
