Hello Guys! My name is Ronnie and I live in Tennessee. I’m on my second rock tumbler and look forward to reading and learning about this hobby from y’all! I don’t know what the rocks are that I find but if I think they will look nice tumbled I pick them up. Mostly they come out of river rock gravel that is everywhere in western Tennessee. Hope to learn more about the rocks I find so I can teach my 2 kids who love rocks too!

Hey Ronnie! Welcome to the forum from South Dakota!! I hope you're on your second tumbler because you needed two...and didn't need to replace the first one!

Welcome from Charles Town WV. (Think abolitionist John Brown's pre-Civil War raid.)
Isn't it great fun to pick up some nice-looking, but plain stones and then to turn them into something so much better?

Welcome from the Lake Erie shore of northern Ohio! I tumble mostly Lake Erie beach stones I find. Like LazerFlash said, it’s so awesome to find some that are so pretty taken from the water, find them dry and ugly, then make them beautiful and shine-y! I’m fairly new here too. You’ll love it. Lots of gold in the posts here to dig through. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, there’s a bunch of nice folks here willing to help!
