This is my blanket response to jasoninsd last few wrapping threads. I'm running back to back family disaster triages and can't find the time for appropriate responses to each one- which they all deserve- so I'm doing it this way.
Jason- I don't think you have ANYTHING to worry about with your first show. Your wraps have come a long way in such a short time!!!!!!!!! I know people will love them. They look every bit professional and gorgeous. I love the silver on the obsid- perfect. Those will be top dollar. The rest are amazing, too. I love the triangle millefiori, too. Keep up the great work. It's a pleasure to see what you're doing.

I got a notification from Tela...and saw the title of the thread was my name. Instantly my mind raced back to school, when I'd get called to the principle's office! I would always think, "What did they catch me doing now?"...and never once did it occur to me that it might be for something good! LOL Tela, thank you so much for taking the time to say the positive things you did. I know you've got a lot of personal things going on right now that absolutely need your attention...so I do have to say how humbled I am...and very grateful for your kind words. I agree the Obsidian needs/deserves silver...and if none of the copper-wrapped ones sell, I will likely end up re-wrapping them in silver at some point. Okay...the only thing left for me to do at this point is keep at it...I've got to get going on the next batch of wraps!

jasoninsd - I had to go back and find your comment about setting up at a "rock swap" after seeing Tela's comment.
You know your work is top-level, and your talent for BS (edit: "salesmanship") is as good as anyone's, so all you need is for the right buyers show up.
I would suggest setting up a display at home ahead of time (using the same size table if you can) so you can walk around and see it "live". That can be a big help when it comes to fine-tuning your setup. Our first booth layout was simulated with painter's tape outlines on the studio floor - just to see what would fit.

Great idea Vince! I had planned on that...but I definitely appreciate the reminder! This is held outside. I've got an 8' square canopy to keep the sun from beating on the stones. I plan on having two 8-foot tables (self-provided) in an L-shape and then I can move the canopy (shifting the tables will probably be easier) as necessary to keep the tables in the shade as the day goes on. I really look forward to the "BS-ing" part of the show. I love talking with people...and I'm not apprehensive about talking with anyone! LOL
