As a newbie I think it will be really nice to see everyone’s set up for their work area. How do you have your stuff set up? How do you organize your stuff? Show us where the “magic” happens! Thanks in advance!

That's about it. Plus a couple extra barrels and 50 pounds of various grits.
and I should mention a Cleanout Sink out in the backyard that also has a Grit Recovery system on the drain.

recently added the boot try under the rotary tumblers after the “Pro Tips” thread posted. I need to get my Lot-O up off the ground… workbench is our “kitchen” now…but will get moved to the shed for my rocks when construction is done. rocks & grits under the tumblers (pre-boot tray)

I like that Husqvarna Viking Rock tumbler. Lol, I like to sew too, though I’m still learning that too! A sweet older lady at church gave it to me.

I just uploaded a boatload (trying to use nice words even though I'm really frustrated) of pictures with a lot of typing and it all deleted when I posted it. Stupid Chromebook. I'll give it another try in the morning. Sorry guys .

Just the tumblers. Rack holds 20 Med Flat rate boxes underneath these. I have an entire room(8x10) for the grinder and tumblers and trim saws. The 14" slab saw is out in the garage cutting away as I type this.

What I do now (after experiencing the same thing on a non-Chromebook) is to highlight the whole post and copy it to the clipboard. That way if it goes missing I can just paste it in another post. I only do that when it's a really long post, but it's saved me a lot of time trying to recreate a long post.

Okay, second try here I'm going to start with picture of the garage in September of 2021: The shop from side view: IMG_20211026_174135359 by Perkins17, on Flickr Tumblers: IMG_20211026_174153456 by Perkins17, on Flickr Rest of the grit, ceramics, and other supplies: IMG_20211026_174200640 by Perkins17, on Flickr This is later in the year, I'm guessing around October: IMG_20211101_194025400 by Perkins17, on Flickr (I copied here to save ) Now this year, about a week ago: The side view, bad glare from my awesome LED bar light (Nicknamed "The Second Sun"): IMG_20220518_081251100 by Perkins17, on Flickr IMG_20220518_081731197 by Perkins17, on Flickr My poly arbor: IMG_20220518_081313811 by Perkins17, on Flickr Its smaller counterpart the pixie: IMG_20220518_081655465 by Perkins17, on Flickr This is the little "table" made out of an old cookie sheet: IMG_20220518_081350156 by Perkins17, on Flickr The shelf underneath the "table": IMG_20220518_081355226 by Perkins17, on Flickr Behind the workspace, into the mess: IMG_20220518_081300577 by Perkins17, on Flickr The vibe lap, back when it was making a mess: IMG_20220518_081255755 by Perkins17, on Flickr The middle shelf with grit, ceramics, and other tumbling supplies: IMG_20220518_081445301 by Perkins17, on Flickr The tumbers: IMG_20220518_081451557 by Perkins17, on Flickr They were missing their buddy the vibe that has since been fixed but now rotates backwards (?) A bad picture of the slab bins under the shelf: IMG_20220518_081705882 by Perkins17, on Flickr This is much cleaner now but I think I've done pretty well for an 8x6 foot space in my garage. I hope this is a little inspirational to newer member just getting into this hobby, as this has been done on an extreme budget. I've probably invested $500 dollars total into my hobby over the 2 years I've been into lapidary. Thank you all for looking, and anyone with questions, feel free to ask. -Nicholas

I need to get some of those Lowe's buckets, that way I can have "Let's do this" and "Do it right" barking at me. Lol

perkins17 What’s that four-banger on the right side of the Pixie, it’s not a spool polisher, is it?
