First, I should say that the feedback I got about converting a grinder to a wet model were not encouraging, but the reason I asked was the internet vibe was pretty negative. I still thought I might make the trade anyway because three hedge trimmers. He said he would like to trade, but he wanted my BIG trimmer.
As I am threading my way between boxes and bicycles and CRT era monitors, I see his workbench ahead and next to the grinder is what appears to be a relatively new Harbor Freight 8 in drill press. A few minutes later, I was leaving with the drill and he was following to switch out the hedge trimmer for the Big one.
Aside from the obvious hole drilling that it will (should) do, what else can I do with it.
FWIW, the best recommendations will not violate any Health and Safety Regulations or penal codes of the State of California.

I sometimes use my drill press to polish faces on bigger rocks. I use those diamond polishing pads and a bucket of water.

I prefer my DUmore and Dremel to drill small holes for wind chimes and necklaces- you could use a drill press for sure.
