Hey everyone!
As requested here are some photos of my first "rockhounding trip" after getting kinda "serious" with the hobby. It's a beautiful place in the region of Wallgau. I love the peace. Most of time, I'm basically alone out there. Some birds, the stream, the wind in the trees... that's it for sounds.
The open, nevertheless enclosed space as there are mountains to all sides just feels right. ... and there are rocks, stones, pebbles... LOTS of em.
Enjoy the pics... and tell me why I'm stupid for gathering too many stones.

Wow! That's gorgeous! The sky and the water is amazing. That's definitely a great place to hang out even without the rocks. The huge plus is it looks like you got a great haul.

Beautiful scenery and pictures Gabriel_GER! Thank you for sharing. I have been through Wallgau and it is truly a gorgeous area with beauty that pictures cannot capture. My wife is from Garmisch and while visiting her family for three weeks in 2014 we went for a day drive to the east and up along the Walchensee and I remember being absolutely blown away by the beauty of that whole area. We stopped and played in one of the pebble fields stretching out into the water. The town of Wallgau is one of those picturesque little German towns that have to be seen to be believed.

That is fantastic! If you ever happen to make the trip again and want to say hi - let me know. That whole area bordering Austria is abundant with beautiful, mountainous nature and small villages sprinkled in between.
... gotta go again next week.

Those pictures could be postcards. Wow! What really gets me is the color of the water. The area is just so beautiful... and full of nice rocks, I see.
