Hello folks, My Name is Mitchell and I live South West Manitoba Canada. I was clearing brush and found a black heavy rock. not very big about 4" x 2.5". weight is about 4 to 5 pounds.

Welcome Mitchell.
There's a " Rock ID" sub forum that you should post a photo in. Make sure you read the tips to check hardness , etc first .
It's easy once you set it up

That zaserious stone rock Well rounded - weathered and rolled Fine grained Hhhmm~ Lots of observation to be made Basalt Butte I'm no expert...mostly

looks like a basalt or a pyroxene group igneous rock. hard to tell from the image. The white appears to be caliche.

I would say basalt too, don’t know what the white spots are though.

Looks like basalt, which is super common in the Earth's crust. Some basalt also contains iron particles that allow it to attract a magnet. So it is sometimes mistaken for meteorites.
