So... took another trip down south last Thursday.
One of the stops in Wallgau was going to be the final destination,
but as I am committed to discover new places along the river Isar,
two new parking spots got their chance to lead me along little trails to some nice spots... maybe.
First one was "ok". Small, too close to the parking spot for my taste (I like to walk) but some nice stones actually.
The second stop was interesting though. Was there before once and determined it a fail.
I was able to see a very interesting scenery far down below, but there was just dense forest and a incredibly steep drop.
No apparent path to go down anywhere in sight. So after a couple of minutes I figured this was just a parking stop for the occasional "pee break" and drove on.
Well... not this time. On Thursday, I decided to venture on by foot, along the road for several hundred meters, checking occasionally for any little trail to lead down the steep drop and through the dense forest.
And bingo! I found "something". To call it a trail would be the exaggeration of the year but good shoes and gloves make almost everything possible.
Once I made my way down, I found myself in a incredible diverse area (Grassland, Forest, Swamp, Sand, Stones). Vast, wide, wild and amazingly beautiful.
Not surprising - giving my adventure getting there - I was the only soul around as far as my eyes could see.
So for the next hours I just explored the area, "hounded" some rocks and jumped into the crystal clear, refreshing water - enjoying the very essence of being alive in my freshly discovered little paradise.
(Bit much maybe, but that's what it felt like)
After a few hours I made my way to Wallgau, enjoyed the walking and the beautiful scenery and this time I actually made it to the "quarry" (or however you would call this one in English ) that you could see in some of my previous pictures.
Sat down, listening to the wind and the little rocks that where loosened by it, tumbling down.

Great day, great stones - life is good.
