Howdy Rockhounds, I picked up this rock when I bought a bunch of rough and 24" Frantom from an old rockhounder. It's obviously has agate and I assume jasper, so likely some sort of brecciated Jasper? I'm hoping someone here has seen similar or has suggestions about where it could have came from? It's a 27 pound rock and very solid so it so should yield some nice slabs and cabs. I really like variety of colors and pattern. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Some close ups: The outside crust:

Just guessing Marston Ranch jasper from Eastern Oregon Ding ding ding! I think you nailed it!! It looks very similar! The colors and patterns are a dead ringer for it. The gentleman I bought it from mentioned various rockhounding trips to Oregon and visiting Richardson ranch a long time ago. I also got a bunch of other Oregon material from him like Maury mountain moss agate, Gary green and a chunk of Owyhee so it makes sense it could be Marston Ranch Jasper. Thanks so much for the ID! I hadn't ever heard of that material before. Happy it now has a name instead of just a "cool unnamed Jasper" lol.

amygdule - Nice ID on that one! goldfinder - I saw this earlier and was hoping someone was going to be able to ID it for you. That piece really looks awesome! I have some Moroccan Jasper I've worked (like Tom suggested) that looks very similar, but I do think 'Dule nailed it as Marston Ranch. Gorgeous piece!
