Not perfectly polished but I'm still happy. Got some rose quartz, citrine, amethyst, and lapis - I don't know what the green one is, it came as a free gift with the rose quartz.

jamijrNice job on those! The green one might be serpentine. What tumbler are you using?

jamijr Nice job on those! The green one might be serpentine. What tumbler are you using? I have 2 different types. A Chicago Electric and a Lortone. Both are double barrels. I'm hoping and praying I get a vibrating tumbler for my birthday next month.

Nice job! Doesn't a vibe tumbler emit a lot of noise. The fairly quiet Lortone rotary is what I use, but yes, it takes a while to get finished. If a vibe was quiet, I'd love to get one too.

Jim Don't know. But I keep my tumblers out in the shed anyway so it's not like the noise would be in the house. I want to run experiments in making tumbled/frosted glass and because of the gas buildup I can't do it in the rotary so I'm thinking a vibe would be better.

I'm thinking the green rock might be aventurine, just my guess. Also, I'd have to do some checking, but lapis is a softer stone than the rest except for the pyrite in it. Did you tumble the lapis by itself or with the quartz? They're all nice rocks. Keep the photos coming.

Jim To me my lot o is way quieter then my 3 lb rotary by far. Other vibes might be louder, not sure. Might be set up too . My blocks are 3 high sitting on carpet.

Heres a video from Michigan Rocks ( Jugglerguy) he did some in the rotary.
