I am a new member to this site. I am a retired Geologist who just moved to the coast. I have tumbled many rocks in my years of work, however, I am hoping that someone can give me the process/steps/grit needed to polish quahog shells. I lost quite a bit of fluorite the last time I experimented! Would rather not destroy my raw material! Thanks for any tips.

That held at Pueblo Grande Museum Phoenix Annually
Something probably about it on the web See if i can find more info

ashley....funny side note: my daughter-in-law works for a granite company installing countertops. She and I have had "discussions" about names of specific "rocks." I come out with a technical name, and she's got all sorts of fancy names for good old monzonite granite!

Sometimes their screen name is different than their user name. Mouse over their highlighted name and check to see if it is the same as the highlighted name. If not, use the mouse over name.
