Hey everyone First and foremost my name is Jay and I'm from the lower mainland of BC Canada. I've been interested in rock collection or cutting them up since I was a little kid. I'm concrete finisher by trade and an artist second. Well I'd hope that be the other way around but it happens. Anyway Git into a car accident and decided that life is short so I'm going to get back into all the stuff I was interested in when I was a kid. Unfortunately they all take time. I already own a few tools because of my trade and have a lot of experience working with rocks already. I just stumbled upon this site while looking for some polishing compounds. I do resin art as well as a few others when I have time. Anyway I look forward to learning more about this rock craze and where to find them. Unfortunately the area I live in, there isn't much. I could go further up north and find some jade but that gets boring unless I want to carve it into a dragon or something.
Kind regards Jay

Welcome Jay, from NW Florida. Lots of knowledgeable people on here to learn from. Can't imagine that BC jade would be boring - you could always send it to me Patty

Welcome to the forum Jay from Southern Nevada.
You live in a real beautiful area, with nice jade as well.

Welcome form Virginia!
You could always do trades here with members for some of your jade. That would get you a lot of variety.

I found BC and Alberta to be a virtual hot bed of rock hound and lapidary resources. How far from the Frazier River can you be? Lets find a way to get rocks across the border inexpensively and we can make some trades. Welcome.
