Hey guys, I'll be making my way towards Seattle next week, thought I 'd throw out the stops and see if anyone wanted to meet up along the way to catch a bite to eat or rockhound at all.
Wed, Aug 24th - Lake Maria State Park near Monticello, MN
Thu, Aug 25th - Makoshika State Park near Glendive, MT
Fri, Aug 26th - Beavertail Hill State Park east of Missoula
Sat, Aug 27th and Sun 28th - I'll be staying at Beacon Rock Campground near Bonneville, WA and most likely be meeting up with a friend on Sunday, but maybe I'll have some time.
Mon, Aug 29th - Near Shaffer Butte campground, just north of Boise, ID
Tues, Aug 30th and Wed 31st - I'll be camped at Lewis Lake campground south of Yellowstone and be exploring parts of Yellowstone
Thu Sept 1st and 2nd - I'll be camping at Elk Mountain Camground south of Rapid City, SD, and exploring the Black Hills and maybe the Badlands? I would imagine I'll try and visit the Rockshed given the time.
Fri, Sept 3rd - Myre-Big Island State Park, MN east of Albert Lea, MN
If anyone wants to, just PM and I'll shoot you my number.
Also, if anyone has a can't miss spot near these areas, I'd be happy to hear of them. I picked the stop points based on travel times, but I'll definitely be winging the hikes and sights.

Graveyard point isn’t a far trip from Boise. Just a heads up.

Graveyard point isn’t a far trip from Boise. Just a heads up. Can I just free pick there? I don't think I'll have tools per se....

Chad, if you're staying at Elk Mountain Campground, you'll be about 45 minutes away from the Fairburn Agate beds...and about 40 minutes away from Teepee Canyon...and about an hour south of me. Just a heads up! If you think you'd want to meet up, let me know...I can always shift things around and "open up" a day...

I'll definitely hit you up when I head your way. Those dates of the 1st and 2nd should be solid, as long as I don't get eaten by a bear.

Th early morning drive was just miles and miles of golden, rolling pastures. I bet those are some content cattle. Streamside at camp tonight Montana is more amazing than I had imagined, wish I could have made a 100 different stops Pretty stoked to see what Easten Washington has to offer tomorrow, been eyeing that area for a while.

Both of those pictures look like they could have been taken in South Dakota...the first one in the middle of SD...the second one in the Black Hills. Gorgeous...and it looks SO peaceful next to that stream!

looking good Chad! Hot, windy, and desolate I been there Well not at those basalt columns Which is really a neat picture I wonder if those grasses Are of type that get brambles in your socks ? Thin little stickers Lot of that on my trailsting Looks like your closing in on the ocean & the the end of your trail. Take care….. How many miles have you logged? Over 2000? Philosopher Stone
