Hi Tony, When I bought mine, it said the pump belt needed a drop of oil about once a year or it would start slipping, causing intermittent spray. Also, if you accidentally bump the tubing against a wheel, you can get a little hole that will cause problems I know about that one first hand! Oh, it also warned that if you put too much oil, it will make the slipping worse. The replacement kit was around 40 dollars if I remember correctly. Fran

umm, maybe I shouldn't say what it looks like to me, at least in the last picture.. Artistic womans form in the side view. No head but flowing hair and need I say it...pasties! Sorry, been looking at some impressionistic art lately. By the way, beautiful work on the cab! Fran

You have some beautiful cabs here! I agree the purple agate is purple burro creek. I love that stuff! The top one looks like Unikite. Not sure what it is. Was it soft or hard? Your rhodocrosite is top shelf! Your last one looks more like lepidolite than sodalite to me. It is most often lighter than that but can be very dark as well and I have heard they also have blue but it is hard to find. No Matter, this is a beautiful batch! Fran

Thanks all. The Breakian I got from Blairrock. Sometimes good material and sometimes not but at his prices for small slabs, I always know I will get at least one good cab and usually a set. Helen, no worries. I always like to chat about neat rocks so don't worry. I am not offended because you asked a question. I like finding the unusual as well. Fran

Thanks all! Helen, yep, that is pietersite. It is from the trimmings and side areas of a slab. Not all is solid blue or red. It can have beautiful patterns with the shimmer in it here and there. The blue green areas hold a hint of that shimmer so I hope they hold together well when being cabbed. Fran

You know Randy, the more I think on it, the more I think that set was Morrisonite. The other set is Imperial Jasper. Just one of those fleeting thoughts I had to put down in writing before I forget it again. Fran

Looks like picture jasper. Could have some agate flow in it if it feels harder. I am afraid I would cut it and see what it looks like inside. The hard part will be deciding what angle to cut it at. Fran

I finally took a little time yesterday and did some cutting. I had to. I promised a lapis set to someone and I hadn't even cut the preforms out so that is what made me get out there. What a beautiful day it was too! Here are the lapis preforms Brekian jasper, I think from Brazil Spiderweb Jasper and Stone Canyon Jasper I think this was a Cripple Creek picture jasper and a Rolling Hills Dolomite This guy had a bunch of small pieces of Pietersite at a show last year. Each one could make a cab and they were 50 cents each. I thought it was a good deal so I got a bunch. Here are 3 Red vain Picasso are the two on the left and the one on the right is St John's Flower agate. Managed a few slabs on the 10 inch. Cut two slabs of obsidian with the strips to get it down to the size I needed and then managed to get one cut the right direction for a rainbow. Really hard to picture it though! And the batch before the sun went completely down tonight. Thanks for looking! Fran
