Just kidding. That is Diane and Franks saw, I was just helping them move stuff, a 16" HP I think. Son Of Beach it's the work shirt. I think I may know that saw...lol. Yes it's a pre1962 HP 16" Thanks for the use of your trailer.

drocknut Thank you Diane for further info on the stone's characteristics. I only know it looks pretty & can't wait to try my UV flashlight after dark Also, thanks for your thoughts on the mystery cab, I got a couple for responses on the ID thread, which seem correct, so I think the #4 is Leopard Skin Rhyrolite.
Thanks,
Patty Glad you like it. Hope that cab glows really well for you. Glad you got an ID on the 4th cab.

Patty, I forgot to add that number 4 looks almost like some kind of oolite.

Love the set, Patty, especially your Yavapai Opal Agate. Seems a little odd to me that it would be an "opal agate" and not have at least one or some softer (opal) areas. The pattern and the shape you chose for it are great. There are some softer spots in some of the pieces, and it depends on how it's cut as to if it has softer spots or not. It's more common opal, so it's harder than precious opal. What I'm calling opal could also be more of a mix of pastelite and clay. I asked a geologist to analyze a piece for me, but he said he had lost the piece I gave him.

Thanks for tagging me. Yes, that material can be super hard and takes a great polish. We haven't really arrived on a good name for the material yet. I started calling it Yavapai Opal Agate because it has layers of both agate and common opal and opalized clay, along with pastelite, which are pretty hard. A friend on Facebook worked some, and one of his friends suggested calling it Arizona Dendritic Agate, but I'm still not really sure about an appropriate name. It will fluoresce too.

Many years ago, my sister in law brought back some beachy things for me from one of her many Myrtle Beach vacations. I never got around to wrapping any, but there were a few wraps that I wanted to try on a shark tooth from her. So, I didn't find this myself, but someone else did and gave it to me. (You notice how similar this month's challenge and cab contest are?) I got out my Moods in Wire book and was prepared to do the big elaborate shark's tooth, but I had to settle for the one wire wrap on this small one. It's cute, though and was pretty easy to do. I'm leaving it raw copper, I think. Or, maybe I'll take the copper off and do it in silver instead.... not sure. Don't mind my messy hands. LOL! Copper is dirty.
I like it too. It looks great with the copper color and the wrap looks like it's got a good hold on that tooth. 👌

Boxes 2,3,and 4 are still available. Any takers? Hint, if you take them all I drop the price because I can combine them into one shipment so costs less in postage.
