The box arrived today. Lots of stuff inside!! Here is what it looked like Here is what I took. It was hard to decide. I was tempted to add the jade to my pile but I refrained!! There is lots of cool material in there but these are what I chose and here is what I put back, stone, freshwater pearl and glass beads, fire agates, confetti chrysocolla, chrysocolla & malachite in quartz. I will get this out with tomorrow's orders. Christopher

Chris, I am having trouble finding the tutorial on your FB page. What am I missing:) Thanks Tom if you go to my facebook page you have to click on my photos then my albums. Once in my albums you must scroll to the album titles "How I Cut Fire Agates" Tom my link in the "Lapidary Tips" section here on the board should take you right to it/ thank you Adrian, it very well could be though. I sell them all on my facebook page.

Cool Christopher! What foredom bits are those you use? I use Nova Burrs and since I am now an authorized Diamond Pacific dealer you can get them from me. I should be all geared up and ready to go after the 23rd Bluesky

You could be right Jim. I could offer some single stones. Once I make a parcel it stays a parcel though. But I have pounds of window so I can just take some photos of singles and offer them for like $12

Chris thats just gorgeous, you should do a tutorial on it if you ever have time. I would love to try doing a fire agate. Superb!!! Tom I second this! Tom and Marie I posted a link to a photo tutorial that is on my facebook page in the LAPIDARY TIPS section. I start with a piece of rough in the tutorial. Starting from windowed rough is MUCH easier as the fire layer has already been exposed for you. Christopher

I have never prospected for gold but I would love to do that sometime. I just got back in from Arizona yesterday. I had to meet my partner out there to post some new signs I had made for our claims out there. I am into fire agates. I was out near Barstow not too long ago digging up some orange common opal. Pretty cool stuff!

Should I sell single stones or is there just no interest in fire agate?
