Too many possibilities to count! Love stinking water plume, and that's a nice piece.

Lovely, as usual. I've seen that marble called "Spiderweb marble" or "Spiderweb jasper" a bit.

We should have a photo contest (funniest photo wins) to encourage people to take pics.

Ok will try to make it. I have sodas and beer to bring, but it might just be a donation toward Saturday's party since it won't be cold. I might be pooped though - leaving LA at 3am tomorrow morning!

Dave, you can back right up to Tony's booth. Just park regular, then find his booth (just look for the closest one to that big building you'll see, with lots of big saws out front - or just ask somebody where Tony is, they all know each other), then move your truck over there. Yes, you might want a chair for the BBQ. Just bring chips for the BBQ. Or cookies or something unhealthy from the central aisles of the grocery store. The drive from Blythe is about 20 minutes. I'd drop off the saw then, since Tony won't be awake yet if you want to drop it before going to pow wow in the morning. And, that will help get you oriented.

Holy cow! That christmas cab - woooowwwwwww! Love love love it! (And the others, but that one takes it for me!) I'm a big fan of the elongated shapes.

Great set! I like the shape you did on the mushroom, echoing the mushroom markings. The fluorite is my fave though - no crazing (or whatever you call it) at all! You have the touch!

Hi! I've used metal clay a bit. PMC Flex is nice because it is less brittle in the greenware stage and you can work it longer before it goes to hell. I would definitely recommend getting a book or dvd or taking a class if possible - there are lots of little tricks to learn to make it go easy. It's a really fun and easy medium though!

Kind of looks like it to me, but I'm not an expert. What a great win! Fun times!

Interesting, that's a thought too.
Turns out it came with a 400 and a 100 belt. I guess I might as well try using the 100 belt for . . . what? doming? Can you dome on an expando?

I need to set up my new arbor and start cutting again with my big saw. Oh, and bring my soldering tank inside and clean up my work room.

Very cool Craig socalagatehound! I didn't see that agate at Zippy's booth. Will ask him about those during Pow Wow - they'll probably be all sold! Was looking for brecciated mookaite from the aussies, but they said they sold it all last year. I see your palm there. Got a piece of that too! ;-) I got my OJ from the guy in the Diamond Pacific building. He also has another shop in the flea market by the post office with more of the same stuff. Jeff's OJ was pretty sweet though, and he has some really nice quality bone. A few more mescalero jasper slabs managed to make their way into my bag again too - I'm such a sucker for that stuff. Willow Creek guy did seem to have better than usual material, at very reasonable prices. I can never find any of that stuff that calls to me though. The chatoyant dino bone was a patch on the corner of a huge big red slab. Now that I know what to look for (Thanks Tommy!) I'll be keeping my eyes out. Neither Jeff Hill nor the lady I bought it from seemed very excited about the chatoyance of the calcite cells, but it looks great to me! I think I got the sister slab to your purple passion slabs too.

Cool socalagatehound, just missed you then. There was definitely some sweeeeet material there. What'd you get? My special finds were a small bucket of Swazi Agate and a piece of chatoyant dino bone. Oh and a bunch of little pieces of nice OJ.

Thanks. I'm thinking I'll get a few SiC ones to play around with and see what grits I want to have before spending $$ on diamond. Question Peruano - you mentioned to be careful about using SiC wheels in between Diamond wheels so that you don't have a piece of grit come off and contaminate the next wheel. Is this a greater concern with SiC than with diamond? Or is it the same consideration? That's a good point about the belts being easily swapped out for special material.

I think that one farm in Holbroock is generally known as "the place" - somebody posted about it recently. Ought to come up if you search. Sorry I can't help more. Lots if pet wood at Desert Gardens show in Quartzsite.
