I mean like how long did it take from when you first talked to him. Will look for your thread!

Congratulations! So exciting! I think you'll find you're going to want a verticle piece attached to your work table thing to ensure that you're holding your work 90 degrees (in the left and right sense) from the wheel). Or maybe not - maybe it's easier to eyeball that one angle when you don't also have to eyeball the up/down direction straight as well. How long did it take to arrive since when you emailed him?

When I got mine, it had one big giant diamond on it, and it was doing something like that. You could feel the diamond on there - just a big ole lump. Could have been from somebody's diamond ring that fell off at the factory, who knows? lol. Anyway, I took a hammer and smashed that one diamond by tapping gently, and it was fixed. If you can feel it with your fingers, that might be a solution. Also, Genie wheels fit on the Cab King I found out, so there are always options.
Edit: I don't suppose it's possible also that they labeled the wheels wrong? So the one you think is the 220 is really the 80? They did put the directional arrow the wrong way on one of mine. I don't put much stock in their "you must be doing it wrong" answer. I've had a recurring problem of mine (too long to describe) and they've always just kind of shrugged and said "It should be working, dunno".

melhill1659, there is a post office, it's I think over in the main part of town (on the north side of the highway) in Q. There is probably also one in Blythe. I'd bring some boxes with you if possible (you're flying your own plane right?) as there are a lot of ebay sellers at the show shipping from there and I don't know how the post office would be about keeping those in stock. There is a guy with a scooter (or ATV or golf cart? can't remember) who runs a bit of a service with the DG vendors, making post office runs, it's quite an efficient little ecosystem. On a side note, the funniest thing I ever saw in Q was a little old granny riding an old dilapidated ATV down the road with a kids bicycle basket on the front. The basked had a cage over the top, and there was a yorkie inside. So surreal! Getting together would be great! Will PM my phone #.

Rearranged all my reservations. Now I'm at BW Ehrenberg for 12/30-1/1, and I'm at Motel 6 Blythe (at Lovekin exit) for 1/19-1/21. In case anybody wants to grab dinner or something.

With the .02 blade, there is about 1/8" on either side. It's not bad, but could be smaller.

@shotgunner, you need one with a really narrow blade . . .um . . hole - the hole in the . . . um . . . table, that the blade pokes out of. (Sorry, I just ate lunch, food coma).

All beautiful, but I'm drawn to the Barite - it looks so juicy and fruity!

Sure, even better, you can have it! You need to get a bushing spacer thing for the arbor - @jsgems knows what kind.

My replacement is coming in the mail today. However, I'm sooooooo sad, I might need an intarsia grinder to heal the void in my soul . . . but I can't decide if I'd rather have the grinder, or more rocks at Q! Leaning toward the rocks, but . . .

Interesting! Thanks for the explanation and the pictures. That green is an interesting color - almost a little bit mossy or something.

I haven't seen much Stone Canyon around for awhile. It was pretty common about 5 years ago. You just never know what's going to evaporate off the market.

I would be interested in seeing different variations of the blue opal. I saw stuff like his picture at tucson, as well as pieces that had more of an "opal" look to them by having more whitish patches and milky opaque light blue. gemfeller, are you saying that they call lots of different things Peruvian Blue Opal? That piece of yours looks a whole lot like a super clear chrysoprase. I bought a piece of chrysopal once, it looked like your picture, if you added in a bunch of milk and whipped it up (with a bunch of voids and irregularities). Didn't cab well.

Stunning! You're right, it's good to stop and revel in the details. Seems like I hardly ever just stop and gaze at the rocks anymore.
