jessen it sounds like they are already talking about making it available to the public at least intermittently. Do you live near enough that you will be able to take advantage of that when they get it developed and open? Did you take pictures of your visit to the wind cave? We love pictures and stories about trips that members take. (welcome to the forum!)

beautiful country, I have never seen 'green' pictures of it before. sounds and looks like you had a great trip, except the storm and the motel. Would have been a rough campout though, roof over head probably still a blessing. thanks for taking us with.

"Awakenings" was based on Oliver Sacks' description of a subject in one of his books.

thanks Snuffy, that is a great method. I am making raised beds this year, think I will try to incorporate that into the system here.. transplants can use the extra protection here when we set them out too.

yes, that second one is what I saw, I agree, not an agate, but I think that last one is! You are right, I just have to pack up and do it. Spouse won't participate if it involves rock hunting, he's no fun in that regard. I may have to go solo. We did back pack camping for years, maybe I can persuade him its a camping trip and he can stay at home base and read and play with fire while I hunt? This needs to be considered. great thread, great pictures, great trip.

gorgeous healthy plants. Please explain the setup for growing, are those 5 gallon pots? Do I see a hole dug between each plant, dishes with something for worm or slug control, or what is it that I am seeing? thanks!
