great tour, great finds! Inspires me to get busy and get up there! I belong to a great lakes rocks and minerals group, and the agate hunters on there would call your unknown agate an "eye" agate- nice find at golf ball size. All the others you thought were agates "are" or seem to be judging from photos they post on that forum and as best as one can tell by looking. I may have spotted one in your tumbling assortment as well. (the photo with the big red layered rock). There is a mostly black rock with a white rimmed formation in the middle of it, near the edge of the pile on the left side of that photo. Hard to tell from a photo, but take a good close look at that one. Could be agate or agate in basalt host rock? Wonderful photos and narrative, thanks for taking the time to tell us about it and take us with! (unakite king, that's what you are, those are awesome.)

beautiful colors...I had thought that Picasso was mostly shades of gray. The layering in it as well as the colors makes me think of Mary Ellen Jasper. So many jaspers, So much beauty. Thanks for the show.

Oliver Sacks has several books about such neurological phenomena along with other cases where neurological function is altered with varying astonishing results. He describes rare conditions which show different forms depending on the part of the brain which is affected. Fascinating reading, many of the conditions he describes appear to have been brought about by illness or injury and the new function seems to be released or brought forward by the loss or damage of another function. The brain in all its complexity is probably the 'final frontier'. Thanks for this post. Got more?

LOL, every time I get enough for a pile, I end up sharing with people who don't have any and want some... I have a few smalls yet, got to get them broken up at some point, the sharing would go farther, wouldn't it?
