I use cerium oxide out of a spray bottle, I use a piece of wool carpet on the backing plate, have some leather been meaning to put it on but the carpet is still working. the amount of polish in the water doesn't really matter all that much, just spray it on until you have a build up of polish on the leather, worked opal like that when I was in Australia. used tin oxide and it worked well, just have to keep it cool and not rush it.
canon sx60 HS in macro mode. I take all photo in the highest quality setting possible, which allows me to zoom in without losing too much detail. Part of the fun for me!
softball. Be interesting to cut it but don't think I have trhe heart. Will keep it as a specimen. it does have one cut face on it that I should polish one of these days,

I am not sure on this piece, I have to find the chunk i cut off of. I think it is stinking water plume tho. do not think it is grave yard plume, too much white for that. there a re others.
