A warm Kentucky 'howdy'! Glad to have you here. You live in a beautiful kingdom 😁, I really enjoyed my visit. Really? What places in the Netherlands have you visited, if I may ask? I only got to spend a weekend in Amsterdam, which happened to coincide with the Euro 2000 soccer tournament. There was a match between the Netherlands and the Czech Republic in town. It was madness. I really enjoyed the Van Gogh museum and the people watching. I'm as interested in the differences in cultures as I am the sites and tourist attractions. BUT, I did get to ride the train from Brussels and back, so I saw the countryside through the glass. And the windmills. 😊

That's a nice Mother's Day gift. I got my wife a hanging flower basket and a lawn mower! Mom just got a flower basket. A new lawn mower? You romantic you. ;-) Well, she's the one that said our old one was too heavy to handle. I thought that sounded like a hint.

Nice trip report. You had some good looking finds. Bummer a lot of the best spots were covered up, but you certainly got your wildflowers. Would have been a real trip to see these guys...

Wow, love the detail in that one. Glad you figured out Flickr and are posting pics. Makes it easy to pull up the pic in Flickr and zoom in for a good look. Especially like that tube structure at about 4:00 in the photo. Those Rios rarely disappoint. Really fun to cut.

Bruneau fan here. The tumbles come out slick, so I bet that cab feels great in hand. I got a piece of that wood from Roger also. Bet you'd hate to hear it was *gasp* tumbled. I made a pendant out of it and gave to a niece for Christmas a couple years ago.

I took that photo with a single LED headlamp in a white fired clay bowl to get that weird spot effect. Not sure why the surround comes out looking purplish. That's great! Ordinary items around the house can make good looking backgrounds. Very creative.

At least they tend to break along any fractures that way.

Way to go, A.J. and Rockindad! That is a sweet set up and he looks proud as can be. Love to see the kiddos get into it. Glad to hear he had some sales to make it all worth the hard work. Kuddos to you both! Thanks for sharing.

You hit a soft spot, Chuck. Those are my two favorites to tumble, so I love this batch. Really cool rock in #3, with the quartz vein running through it. Keep up the show as long as you can, they're always fun to look at.

I've seen it done, saxplayer, but it's up to you. I have never entered the contest, but since nobody here is judging that event, I can't figure out why it would matter. Perhaps I am missing something though, since I've not seen the contest rules. Ya I don’t want to disqualify myself. You should enter next year - could even do it this year yet. The material is so soft it shapes fast. We could sweep for the forums Looks like you are free to share your pics, if you like, Grant. I will have to take a pass on this year, my tumblers are going to sit quiet over the next few months.

Love those Brazilian halves. You're slapping a super shine on them, too. I have a bucket of big Brazilians that I can't cut with my tile saw, but don't want to bust up with the hammer either. They're patiently waiting, though.

My biggest problem with them was a failure to ship my materials in a timely manner and poor communication. Glad your situation was finally resolved to your satisfaction.

Great to see you aboard the Lot-O train, Tommy. Great first run! I'm not surprised that Augua Nueva survived, I've run some thin, delicate pieces through that machine and it usually works out fine. Use it enough and you'll develope a feel for what's needed and what you can get away with. It really is forgiving.
Oh, great looking batch BTW. That's really good looking material. I'd hate to know how many pieces like this you've had over the years that never made the final grade as a Tommy Lay Original, but never got this second lease on life in that new Lot-O.

What an awesome collection! I'm sure you'll find something cool to do with them. Now that you got them all done, don't you wish you had more? When I get a bunch of a nice material, I have to parcel it out into mixed batches over time. I guess the thought of running out of it bothers me. I still have some of these Mexican nodules left from a box I got two years ago.
