All beautiful! Garage Rocker, maybe we need to start a "frustrated wire wrapper" support group.

About how long did these roll in your first stage? I've been running a batch for a month and these sure seem hard!! I weighed them from last week to this week and had a 5% reduction, but it sure seems like it's slow going.

Click the photo you want in your library. Click the link that says "Direct". I've always thought Photobucket was very easy to use.

After playing around with numerous methods, I now just fully clean out my barrels once a week. For my 6lb barrel I use 1/2 cup of 46/70 and 1/2 cup clay based cat litter each week. I capture all my leftover slurry and rinse water in a 5 gallon bucket. Let it sit for a week and then pull off the "clean" water on the surface. Place the bucket on my radiator and let it dry the rest out. Once dried it goes into the trash.

I was shocked also, but it works with those small amounts!

My picture jasper sometimes looks like your "bad flat" example. And that is using my Lot-O. I think this is a great batch. Love the Montana group.

Beautiful. Thanks for posting some more of your amazing work. I finally got everything in place to try some wire wrapping after being inspired by your work.
And I wanted to mention that wonderful mookaite jasper.

I have my Lot-O mounted to a concrete block and in the basement. But the concrete block is on a couple of thick rubber pads. It cut down the noise quite a bit!

I have 2 QT-66s and a 4lb Lot-O. I maybe run the Lot-O once a month when I have enough to fill it. I keep wanting to buy another tumbler, but don't really have a need for more work. I agree with Rob, get the Lot-O and dedicate your rotary to rough duty.

Great batch. Very "earthy" colors.

captbob, thanks. I wasn't really thinking this would be such a "soft" material. It looked like all my picture jasper so I treated it as such. I only put the amethyst in there so it would be easy to tell the two apart. I'll see how everything looks tonight.
