Pardon my ignorance, but who is Kevin? It's a reference to Men in Black II. Agent K played by Tommy Lee Jones has his memory wiped of his former life & is given a job at the post office. He may be handling the package. An attempt at humor that fell flat on its face. Good thing I have a day job. Lynn

Kevin has it. But since he used to be a Man in Black, we can only wait to see if he gets his old job mixed up with his new one! Lynn

I would have just soaked them in dishwashing soap in water, maybe even run them through the dishwasher after that. That's a lot less hassle than sending them back. Lynn

I'm sort of in the same boat - I'm taking apart a Raytech 10" saw with powerfeed. What's the best way to remove those pins? Do you have to destroy them to remove them? They tend to spread out & lodge themselves in the hole when I try to push them out with a nailset or similar punch. Is there a dedicated tool? Lynn You can try what woodman suggested, but there are actually roll pin punches. I got a set for working on particular rifles I have. That said, regular punches (not nail sets) can work as long as the punch tip won't go into the hole and is the same diameter as the pin. It will also, more than likely, have to be straight sided and not tapered. ETA: Here's an Amazon ad that shows a good view of what roll pin punch tips look like. www.amazon.com/MulWark-Assorted-Corrosion-Resistant-Automotive/dp/B01N1HXR7A/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1527703664&sr=8-5&keywords=roll+pin+punch+setThanks. I ordered a set yesterday. They'll be here tomorrow. Lynn

fernwood - I also have a photography background, just not as an income job. For photographing my cabs & jewelry I bought a Canon EOS Rebel T3i a few years ago because of an Android app called DSLR Controler. At the time it seemed like the best app for controlling a DSLR via an Android device. The Nikon options weren't as good then. I'm sure now there are lots more options for all makes of cameras. It lets me hook the camera to my 7" Nexus 7 Android tablet & view, focus, expose & shoot via the tablet. I don't have to look through the viewfinder, or at a smallish LCD or even touch the camera to take the shot. Instead of a tripod I bought an articulating monitor arm & a Manfrotto grip & had a machinist make an adapter to connect it all together. I can position the camera without loosening or tightening any knobs. The next part is lighting. I tried light tents, but found them hard to use, so I just have 2 cheap articulating draftsmans lights with CFL bulbs. I put a high tech paper towel diffuser over each. I find that positioning the lights more to the sides of the cab rather than above minimizes the glare spot but still shows a sliver of light that makes the cab look more 3D than flat. Here are some samples: My photos on FacebookLynn

I'd cut it in water. I guess it's time to fix your 10" saw so you can get to this stuff. You know the new saying: a project is the Mother of repair. Lynn

I've bought diamond coated drill bits from Wish. They were cheaper than what I'd paid on eBay for the same, but the eBay price is now as low as Wish.
The thing I don't like is that they want you to log in via your Facebook or Google acct. I'd rather not give them that info. There is no Wish login. Lynn

I don't have the old shaft to measure. Lortone doesn't state the diameter of the shaft, but from sleuthing I found that it's 5/8" diameter. I've found a source for the bearings & "straps" on ebay for lots less than Lortone. Lynn

I'm rebuilding my frind's old Lortone 12c slab saw.
Does anyone know the arbor shaft diameter?
Lortone wants about $48 plus shipping for the 2 bearings & bearing straps. I'm sure I can do better elsewhere.
Any suggestions about sources for these bearings & straps?
Lynn

I bought a 60 grit sintered wheel from MoHan. He's on eBay as Lapidarytool & Amazon as Han's. I've been using it for 6 years or so & love it. I got 60 grit because they say get one grit coarser than the plated wheel you're used to. Lynn

Any updates? Only reasons is that I need to be home and make prior arrangements for delivery from PO. Carrier is great and will bring into my front hallway with advance notice. My present lifting restrictions would prevent me from picking up box at PO. They would not be happy if I had to leave box on counter and remove a few pieces at a time. None of the usual counter people could carry a LFRB to my car. Will need to coordinate potential delivery day with my many appointments. Thank you. fernwood, I'm new to this traveling rock box thing & not sure how I was supposed to get your address. Please PM me your address. I'll be sending it out next week. I'll let you know when I ship it. Lynn

stardiamond - I like your cab shapes. The curves flow well. Some folks cab for years and can't get a flowing curve, just lumpy, chunky ones. Lynn
