Some Tiffany, indeed. I really like working with that stuff, even though it presents challenges and doesn't necessarily take the best polish. But it is beautiful, nice work! Thanks Mike!

I've had undercutting issues, on the darkest purple area of the piece I was working with. It had a patchy shine when I was done too. Still gorgeous though, nice job. Thanks Julie!

Nice stones! Number two rings my bell. I've cut a fair amount of Tiffany and have had no problems with undercutting, but it's a rock, not a mineral. Since it's a mixture of minerals there are bound to be pieces with varying hardness, especially since it occurs in so many different colors/types. Thanks Rick. I cut several cabs a year ago from some very solid, old stock material and got a glass polish. Then I bought a chunk of new material from eBay which was junk. This slab was old stock too, but like you said, it’s a rock not a mineral. Some of the peach colored areas were really soft, some was agate hard. It was a good exercise in polishing!

Very pretty cabs! Between the first and second, I can't decide which is my favorite. Thanks Gary! Have you cut Tiffany? Did you have any issues with undercutting?

Very nice! I like the shapes and captures. Great job! Thanks Tela! Other than undercutting, things turned out nicely with the set.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I cut a cab, and made some Christmas things. And bought a couple rocks. It was a good day!
