Beautiful! And, it reminds me I need to get up with him again. Last time I talked to him, he was looking to get more. I guess he did. Thanks Tela! Yes, get back in touch with him, he's got quite a bit more now.

That's what I love about Wyoming. Huge amounts of accessible public land, small population, treasure yet to be found ... if you can stand the harsh climate. Today, on the summer solstice it was 28 degrees at my home town. It is a fantastic place for sure. I'm not sure I could handle the climate, but I sure like to visit. 28F is way too cold for June 21!

Nice material and nice work! Can't help it, but my brain sees a character with an evil grin in the top left cab. Thanks! It's so funny what the brain tries to do with things. I see a banana with cricket legs on one and a cat on another. Now I see an evil grin on that one too!

A lot of great fossil hounding around the Custer Battlefield site, going east... Great rock shop in Billings a buddy (Bob) of mine owns.. THE ROCK SHOP... Also amazing Montana Moss agate on the Yellowstone river in that area also... Then in Virginia City, my cousin Randy owns the Rock Shop there also.... He might even give you information on where to hound for goodies too... Montana my home state... I would buy this book, for your Montana travels "The Rockhound's Guide to Montana by Robert Feldman.. It has a orange yellow cover on it, with rocks and fossils displayed.. Best hounding book out there... Can get it off of Amazon and Ebay… You have to hit Yellowstone Park too, it's amazing! HAVE FUN!!! PS: Don't know if it was mentioned, but Crystal Park down by Dillion is a great place for amazing crystals... fossilman we are in Billings today. Went to The Rock Shop and met Bob. Great guy! Fun shop with so much to look at. He made me a killer deal on some slabs and gave my son a very nice specimen. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's a beautiful cab, nice job! I would get so excited seeing someone's gem and mineral sale sign lol. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only lapidarist in this valley. Thanks Tommy! I know, right!! I couldn't believe it when I saw the sign, and it was a treat to look through hundreds of slabs on a Friday afternoon.

Nice color and nice cutting, too! Maybe it's just a reflection, but that bright spot near the top splits that dendrite in two. That effect sort of suggests the eyes of a mustached and goateed fellow who might be snoozing. Thanks! I'm always amazed when people point out what they see in a cab, then I go back and look and see it too. Rarely do I ever initially spot something interesting!

I've been in such a rut with my cabs lately...everything has been small and round. Today I wanted to remind myself that there are other shapes and sizes to cut. So, here's what I came up with. Fun story too about the slab...I was driving home from work on Friday and there was a large sign in a yard that said "gem and mineral sale". So I stopped in and picked up several slabs from a very nice retired gentleman. This dendritic opal slab was one of them. I really liked the color!

Sorry about the cab Ali. It's very nice, nevertheless. I'm glad that you will be keeping it and that might not have happened if there weren't some fractures.

That's a KILLER ring design- expertly executed. The stone is perfect! I expect to see an eye in it. A star sapphire might look cool in a similar ring

Love it! The ring design for that stone fits it perfectly. Great job. Thanks Robin...I appreciate that. I haven't tried this style of ring until now. He wanted something made from a Colorado material and handmade for an engagement ring for his fiance who goes and collects blue agate with him...this should be a perfect ring, or at least I hope so!
