Stoooooop it!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember Winky Dink!! There--now you know I'm old!!!!!! I truly appreciate the suggestions. I will be trying the slurry tip, and the little ceramic pellets. I sure hope I figure this out as I wanted to tumble some of my larger rocks and also some bigger batches. To see all the fractured stuff, geez, bummer. Thanks to everyone except to those of you who reminded me how old I am!!!!

I haven't had too much trouble with mine fracturing stuff & I agree with the comment that if they are meant to fracture, they might as well do it in the coarse grind and probably were going to, anyhow. I try to use a reasonable mix of sizes and make sure it is fully loaded to 5/8 to 3/4 full. I don't use old slurry to prime it since it doesn't seem to need it like the 3-lb barrels do. I also throw in all the scraps and shards that came along with the rock or got chipped or cut off, they help with the padding. I have more than one and one of them has always run slower than the others. It doesn't seem to make a difference but if it were going too fast, I'm sure it would bash them around. I have done a few BIG rocks in with other rocks and not ruined stuff.
I am in love with Boris and Natasha and Fearless Leader.
