Two weekends ago I did my first show. It wasn't really a craft show, more of a bake sale with a few crafters. I had low expectations but ended up having a fun time talking rocks and managing to sell a few cabs. Here are some pics of my setup. Overall shot. Some closeups. Next time I try and do a real craft show.

Your table looks great!! I love craft shows, I've only done three. It's cool talking to people, most are fascinated by the stuff that we do with rocks.

Sorry it was so bad, I didn't know how it would be. I thought it was an opportunity.

Looks great! You have to do them all so you can know which are the best to do the second time around. I've done a million shows but only a few hundred were worth the effort money wise. Mostly you want to find shows that have big crowds, but you find out about them from the folks you meet at the shows where you have time to talk to the other exibiters...ie. bad shows Tony

Your set up looks wonderful, good for you. I did a couple of shows and found the small ones to be much more friendly. Other crafters tend to be very nice.
I also set up once in a huge Craft/Flea Market faire that is held annually. Never Ever participate in a faire that has the word Flea Market. I lost money on that one plus, I was set up next to a jewelry lady that made all crystal jewelry and all I got were dirty looks. No hello, nothing. ;D
So I'm really glad you had fun on your first show.

your table looks great, but if it was a bake show i don't see any cookies, etc. on your table. I would have bought some of them lol Really your setup looks very clean and neat. We have done many shows and each one is unique,,,,, but you get so much information for all the other vendors. I love doing them Our flea markets, swap meets, etc. out here is no good for crafts. Everyone is too cheap to pay the prices for handmade stuff. We have a lot of snowbirds, as we call them or winter visitors that are on fixed incomes, so they don't spend a lot. The shows work out the best for us. ralph and mary ann

Thanks all for the compliments.
Steve, I will have to get some pics of the necklaces. Bejewelme, the show was fine for a first one, it let me figure out how to show my stuff without looking like a rube.

Your lay out is great. Every show is different. Sometimes nobody sells a thing, not even the funnel cake guy. Two weeks later you sell like gang busters. Thing is to have fun. john

I hate one day shows....that said I'm getting ready for one tomorrow You got a neater set-up than mine. I generally fill my table and stuff more rocks on the floor under the table.

I have gotten back into doing local gun & knife shows over the last year. Almost always seel enough to pay my table rent. I have started putting some tumbled rocks and few cabs on the the table. My not help sales at this type of show, but people like to look at them and visit. Hopefully I can accumulate enough to do a craft show or two.

Looks great, Tony! I've just started doing shows in the last couple of years, just a couple of local ones with a girlfriend. It's the experience more than selling for me so far, and you never know who'll see you! Did you have business cards to hand out?
It's nice getting feedback over stuff too. And just friendly chatting up with people.
I did a Holiday show at a retirement community - NOT a good show! All the residences are on fixed income and have had to minimize, living in a small apartment. Won't do that again. I've done a local outdoor festival that is friendly and nice, and I want to return to that one every year. I'll have to look into gun and knife shows out here! That's a good idea. It seems that the primarily men that go would be open to buying their women gifts at one and thus be able to avoid the mall! lol
