Here’s an odd-shaped RSJ nodule posted a while back, and I wanted to get the longest possible slab off of this thing. A tricky, slippery little bugger to try and hold with wedges, but no problem for Bobby1’s nodule grabber. This one’s a little beefier – 5/8” galvanized stock and 5/8” stainless rod – just cause the packrat had it layin’ around. After the grabber got a bite, it was easy to turn it and wedge the whole thing up to get the angle I needed. Managed to get three full length slabs out it. Here’s one, front and back. Kind of a landscape in a funhouse mirror. Nice slabs Rich! The way you have the grabber positioned, it looks like the blade would come mighty close to the metal.

Some very tricking cutting but it was more than worth it.

Awesome! I'm equally impressed by the skill to get those slabs as I am with the material! Beautiful scene in that one.

Sweeeet Rich! Yet another gadget I'd find very useful at times. You sliced it perfectly and the scenes within are incredible. I have only ever sliced 1 RSJ nodule but every slice created a new picture. It is awesome material...as shown by your slabs. Steve
