So I asked Jo (Naturenut) for one of the medium FRB's of moonstone. Good golly! I can't believe what she sent me! What a haul! Well, first here's the box of mixed moonstone and amazonite: But packed in on top, were these, all individually wrapped and labelled: Actinolite Albite moonstone Blue quartz Bronzeite Gold moonstone Perthite Tremolite with actinolite and some rose and yellow quartz It took me 3 hours just to separate out and photograph all this - no telling how many years it'll be before I run out of moonstone! Talk about Christmas in March .... Wow! Thanks a TON, Jo! Tom

Looks like you got a great variety there. Good luck getting through it all.

LOL, the only thing better than Christmas in March is being on the sending end! Great pics and you even caught some silver sheen in the Albite. What Tom didn't mention was that he was willing to go hard core and didn't ask me to mark the cutting orientation for him. He's gonna practice and tie his cute brain in knots and hone his cutting for orientation skills with this rough! I'm not worried, he's already got some experience, so I'm sure we are gonna see some beautiful cuts very soon! You're welcome Tom! Enjoy your new sparkly friends!

Now if I can only get my "days off" from pre-committed chores to coincide with the weather, I'll get the old Workforce out and slice some rock, bent shaft and all! Of course if it gets any worse and starts really destroying good slabs, I'll chuck it out in the alley, go to Home Depot, and buy a new one!
