This is my first butterfly. I plan to improve the shape a little and I hope my hand. Sorry, I didn't manage to clean epoxy enough but I was eager to show you my first butterfly. Thanks for looking. Zotika

well i can't wait to see the improved version because that one is already gorgeous. how do you get your excess glue off? how big is it? are you going to use it for a pendant or i've seen some mounted to a base or framed?

That is really pretty. What kind of equipment setup do you have? You are doing really neat stuff with the figures you are creating.

Love the idea...you did fantastic. I really shouldn't put that on a "To Try" list...but I'm going to. Got too much on my plate as is. I'd love doing that sometime. Steve

That is so pretty! You did a great job on that! That would be great for jewelry making or for mosaics! You should try selling them on ebay. I think they would really sell. How did you make it? Did you cut the shape first, than polish it by hand or the tumbler? I wanna know too! LOL! What is epoxy and how do you use it? Clueless Debs!

Thank you, guys. You are all very supportive, and it means so much to me. This kind of people is very hard to find. Precious stones - precious people. I am sorry I am not answering sooner to your questions. It is, partly, blame of time difference and, partly, my busy manic Monday. - Dimensions of butterfly are around 30x30mm. - I use epoxy that has very short bonding period. Working period is only 5 minutes. So my best way to clean excesive epoxy is to wait for about 1 to 2 hours, when epoxy is not hardened completely, and simply clean it with fingernail. - I plan to use this butterfly for pendant. - Butterfly was made, exclusively, by hand. No tumbler. - Debs, epoxy is "a 2-part adhesive system consisting of resin and hardener. It does not start to harden until the elements are mixed together." and "... is extremely strong. It is generally available in 6 and 30-minute formulas." Regards, Zotika
