Sheesh, Brett, good luck with Ivan. How terrible if your power goes out -- who knows how much time your barrels might lose!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, hope you are okay through it, it sounds like a very scary storm.

brett i hope all is going well. i can't believe the media is still down there broadcasting. i think this would be a good time for "take this job and shove it". our hotels are all full, we're 6 hrs from the coast and bless their hearts they were being told to keep onward to nashville, tn to find available rooms then later to go to dallas, tx. poor uprooted people. i just got off the phone with one of my college buddies who lives in alabama and he says its really bad and he's inland. he said he's pacing and drinking whiskey. he said they are cutting the power in about an hr. it was taking 20 minutes to drive 3 miles for the folks driving north from the ms coast. my hubby had to travel south today to work and i was afraid he wasn't going to be able to get home because of the traffic but he made it by getting off the main roads.

Brett ( and all others in the path of Ivan),
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Certainly sounds like you are experienced with this type of storm and prepared for this one! I hope the very best for you and yours. Stay safe! And then............after the storm..............send us pics of your crystals!
Good luck! BE

We made it and all is well. That was very close!!!! I feel bad for Florida getting hit again, but I sure am glad Ivan decided to turn to the east. We received nothing more than some strong winds and some light rain. We didn't even loose power. Thank God.... I am exhausted..... I need to do something about all these windows. I have 20, yes 20, 8 foot wide sliding glass doors on my house. When my father in law built the house, he wanted to be able to see out and enjoy the view. I guess he didn't think about having to board up in case of a storm. I don't want to see another piece of plywood for a while. 12 of the 20 doors are upstairs. I guess I should be thankful and quit complaining. I could be sifting through debris looking for my belongings. Good news is.... my tumbler didn't stop at all during this event. Tuesday night, I actually made time and moved to the next stage, 120/220 grit. I think my wife has some rockhound in her, she moved all my larger rocks inside the garage. I guess she thought they would blow away. Hope everyone in Georgia and north are doing ok. Lots of rain and tornados heading that way. Thanks again for thinking and praying for us..... Pleased to hear you are OK Brett .
Hope others that were less fortunate will overcome their predicament soon.
Carry on tumbling
