Stefan, If you like to pluck away i'm sure you would like to learn some chords so you could sing along with your guitar. Do you know what "tablature" is?If not,and you want,I can explain it to you in a snap! Meanwhile here's a link to a few chord diagrams and some pretty good lessons including a few free online videos you can "play" around with. www.fenderplayersclub.com/woodshed/beginners/beginners.htmTom

Tom I have a very limited understanding of Tablature (tabs? right) As for Chords- Well the easy ones (see I cant even name em) I can get but sometimes my fingers tell my brain to shove off (I learned music on a violin and chords are not possible) I would love an explaination- Oh as far as me singing!!! LMAO My family won't even let me sing in the shower!!!! Thanks- oh and cool link- gotta look at it at home when I have the guitar in hand!

Stefan, LOL,,,,singing in the shower!! Well i've been told by quite a few people that I have a great voice!! The thing is that none of them could carry a tune in a bucket!! Here's a link to some tab basics. guitarsecrets.com/tablature.htmThis is not the only way tabs are written but it will give you an idea of how tabs work. Tom

I'm gonna try to learn them- After I get done playing with the grinder tonight (if it shows up like UPS has promised) Hmm wonder what my wife will say when I come to bed at 4:00 a.m and start playing guitar-(she gets up at 5:00 am) Bet I'll be sleeping in the shower then!

Ed- I finally got the pictures to pop up. My DSL connection is getting tired I think. That is some beautiful work on the guitar you did. I had a buddy who went to luthier school here in Phoenix but he sure didn't kick out anything with the quality you are holding. I also clicked on that dudes web site to here him play 'Fleetwood Mac', and that is some amazing sound coming out of that guitar he's playing. I own a Larrive, but my forte´is harmonica and 'tin whistle. Mostly just playrhythmn and a little finger picking. It's nice to find out a little more about you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone. Banjo, those Larrive's are nice guitars. The guy I was working for hired a luthier to come on board and start making a whole line of guitars. This guy is 26 yrs old and has only been building guitars for 5 years, but he is an artist. He can build one in about 2 weeks. They are gonna offer luthier school soon and he wanted to try a " test class" out so that is how I was able to build that guitar. He explained the procedure and the left me to do the work. I have to say one thing though, don't try this at home. The first 2 months he was there was dedicated to just making all the jigs necessary to build a guitar, and without them, it's impossible to build a guitar. I had a blast building it. The hardest part was bending the sides, and the most fun part was carving the neck. It has a rich full sound for such a small body.
Music soothes the soul, kinda like tumbling stones.
