That is beautiful. I have made a couple of cabs that would look set in a bracelet like that. Is it very hard to learn that process? Keep up the great work. gary

Ya know Nancy, I don't know who you are but I gotta hand it to ya on your bracelet!!! WOW that is beautiful! Did you do the entire thing? or just the wrap? either way it's very classy and wear worthy ... I especially like the way your stone matches the wire.. looks great together. So MS. Nacyf..... Bravo on your masterpiece!

I like that band a lot, Nancy! Is the segments just looped and stacked over each other?
Hmmm...variations on a theme....

I was missing your wraps lately, but the waiting was worth! What a work of art! I still have a question: is it for the wrist or for the knee? In the 2nd pic it seems it's set on the manequine's knee.

Thanks all! Roxy...I've been here, but I'm mostly on this wire threads...have a look around my site it ya want. Yes...I made the whole thang. lol You make a "U" and curl each end...then grab the round part of the "U" and bend the curls over. Make as many links as you want and you join them by sticking the "u"s together. I designed the cab to integrate with them. I like the hidden clasp part and so far, the bracelet is comfortable. Dang...that does look like a knee! It ain't tho ya know...it fits my wrist very nicely...stiff mannequins anyhow. ack!

Wow-21g? Any time I try to use anything less than 20 in bracelets, it always feels to flimsy-yet this does not look at all flimsy. You had at one time mentioned dipping copper in Future floor wax to prevent tarnishing-I never tried it-does it work well? I like to work with copper, but it just seems so hard to keep looking good. Connie Fox says to antique it with liver of sulphure, but seems like the same thing will happen if you just leave it out in the air. Opinions? Again, this is really pretty! Thanks for the details!

Gotta tell ya gal...never tried to antique copper and have never used the Future floor wax...BUT I do know the gal that did a test on the Future and it was very successful in my eyes. I would do it if I were selling the piece to a customer and they wanted the shinny to last more...I need to do more research on this. I think I would do the "egg" antique method first....I don't like chemicals. I haven't done it yet...but should work, as silver and copper seem to react in similar ways. Still...I haven't done it. I but a LOT of 21g in silver and any metal...it works with any size stone...more for larger and less for smaller. IMHO it is the best size for over all pieces. Naturally, I have all gauges, but for starters, I reccommed this size. This bracelet is NOT flimsy at all! You have to take in consideration the design...I totally love this bracelet and it is 1/2 inch wide. Not too big and not too small. yum! lol

Thanks Tami...yep...it isn't hard at all, just boring to make link after link...lol
Grampaw...boil an egg and put it in a ziplock...smush it...and then place the piece inside. Leave as long as it takes (may take overnight)...me, I'm antsy and will boil them eggs till that bugger is black asap! lol...still it will work with one. sigh.... Seems that when the egg is hot, most of the action takes place...hence my boiling more than one. pffffffftttttt!
