Wow, there's a chance that I may even be able to actually see it at some point tonight. Mostly cloudy here but it looks like it's breaking up so I will poke my head out often to check for any clear patches of sky in the East. The moon is just starting to rise here now according to my sky software but clouds still obscure the entire eastern horizon I can't see SQUAT! The fall 2004 eclipse was only the second total eclipse I have EVER seen while living here due to the mostly cloudy nights in the spring or fall on the island when lunar eclipses occur and I have been here for almost 15 years of my life. I saw two in Prince George where I only lived for 3.5yrs and 3 in Penticton where I lived for six years.

Yay, I got to see it! No scopes or cameras this time, just enjoyed it for what it is, a beautiful natural phenomenon. I believe the next one will be in 2010.

Nice clear skies for the entire event from my location. I got out binocs for a bit, but I know what you mean Rob, it is really something that is best appreciated without optical aid. -Don

Oh wow!!! those are absolutely beautiful! I tried to set up my scope last night.. but got too frustrated.. went out to try and take pics between the clouds rolling by and most came out those "shakey pics" so I wasn't to thrilled.. and completely missed the peak time! cuz by then it was a intense light and sound show in the sky.... either way was a good night! but thanks for the pics.. man those turned out sharp!

That was the weirdest weather last night, a storm rolled in like Roxy said only no rain. Its way to early for Monsoons but that was what we had last night, mostly electrical and very strange.

It's not my fault Jamie! LOL Everyone where I live are saying that I brought the weather with me from West Texas! They said, if it snows in the valley, they are going to drop kick me back to Odessa! LOL

We had 3 days of totally clear skies here. Then - you guessed it - just as the eclipse approached it thoroughly clouded over and there was nothing to see. Grim - I fancied taking a few pics aswell. Maybe next time. Mark
