I stayed up late last night and played in the dungeon. Onyx My wife asked for a couple square cabs. Mozarkite That RSJ everybody likes. Unknown? Conglomerate. Tonyterner said to me he could not make a round cab, well I guess I can't either. The was a weird material, very hard quartz mixed in a soft matrix. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for looking. john

Beautiful Cabs! Your round just has character and wants to do it's own thing. I think my favorite has to be that onyx. Beautiful shine on all of them! Fran

Very nice, John! Love the onyx. Great shape. Dop your stone with a nail, put nail in your battery drill... run your stone round and round while your wheel goes round and round...easy round cab as long as you center the nail. I first tried it in my dremel, but blew up my collet. Tony

Oh sure John blame me for making you try a round cab. lol They are tough. I've heard the advice from Tony W before but never tried it. I actually have one or two dopped on a nails so I should try it. Of course there is always the really easy way, use a core drill on a slab and then dome the top. I've done this a couple of times and it works well although its probably considered cheating. lol

Those are some good looking cabs and very shiny. The squares look great, and I love the shape of that onyx. I can't make a circle or an oval, so what if it is not perfect they look good. I always figure, I'm flawed so I don't care if my rocks are either. Nice set! Amber

The onyx and the RSJ are beautiful. That square shape is perfect and i find very difficult to make a perfect square cab, even harder than a round cab.

Dop your stone with a nail, put nail in your battery drill... run your stone round and round while your wheel goes round and round... What speed do you run the drill at? I might give this a shot.

Sweet cabs John. My fav is the RSJ and the Onyx. I am still trying to find a little time to get some cabbing in too. Maybe if I just get out there and get started I won't have a problem. It seems like I can't stay away form the 'puter' and the RTH long enough to do so. If the Sun would come out, it would help lure me away too! Dang CLOUDS! Steve

Excellent cabbing John, that "Chamber of Secrets" yields up some real gems sometimes! Beautiful stones Sir! The Onyx is exquisite, the banding and colours are really something! Do you cut the shapes free form, or from a template? They rock! And I like the little roundie too, I got a couple of "baroque" circles round here myself ;D The stone is quite intriguing, looks cool! Thanks for sharing your treasures! Cheers, Sparkles.
