Here's a few I did this weekend. It was a bit chilly...but not cold enough to keep me inside and away from my ROCKS! If they can hnadle the COLD..I can TOO! ;D First two are Morrisonite. These are the ones from the gentleman who contacted me about doing some cabs for him. He sent the material. I hope he's happy with them. The one slab is quite fractured, and I actually had 2 cabs out of the slab...but one broke. This is the fractured slab cab. What a DIFFERENCE! This is GRADE A Morrisonite. Owyhee Jasper I'm Guessing...Laker. love the colors in this one. Arizona Agate (from Tony and Chris) This one actually was round at the bottom...but due to an unforeseen crack...the tip broke. I just squared the bottom off after that. It's hard to take a good pic of clear Agate. This one has some nice bandings too. Botswana. This has a great parralax effect. Of course...a signature set of Echostones! Finally...something different. Adrian and Gary (58vette) inspired me to attempt one of these. As you can clearly see...there's lots of room for improvement. I was excited to actually finally attempt one, after wanting to Forever! This is actually quite Fun...and I'll be doing more in the future. Sodalite and RSJ. THANKS for LOOKING! Until next time...Enjoy. Steve

I like that second morrisonite a whole lot and your Intarsia cab is great also. My first reaction was Wow!, what kind of rock is that until I realized it was a couple of different kinds of rocks. I am definitely going to need to try this, and soon!

Yummy - that second morrisonite is awesome!
On the intarsia - what's the gray stuff between the layers, another type of stone? it looks like the leading that they use for stained glass! love that one!

Those are awesome!! Great job on the fantasy cab too, one more thing that I have yet to try. I think the Morisonite and the Botswana are my favorites.

Wow Steve really nice set. The top grade morrisonite is a knockout! Love the bot too. Oh and those echo stones are rockin'. That intarsia looks like a lot of work. At first I wasn't sure I liked the color combo but it has grown on me a bit. The RSJ in that looks like a tree.

Thanks Everybody! I really like that 2nd Morrisonite as well..too bad it's not one of my own. Maybe I will get a piece or two off the left-over chunk. Tweet....the gray in between layer is AIR ;D filled with whatever went in there during the grinding process...and perhaps a little superglue. That's just a rotten fit between the stones. Next time...it will be better! Parralax....I really suck at describing words..but here's my attempt. It's when the lines or bandings are so close together in an Agate, that when it's moved from side to side...it gives off an effect that makes the lines seem like they are moving as well. Mel...help me out ...I'm DYING! ;D BTW...I have a question now. The Botswana doesn't appear to have a super polish on it although it does. Will a parrallax in a stone effect the appearance of the shine?? Steve
